Ordering & Quotes

Because every celebration is unique, we use a quote system. You browse our catalog and submit a request with your specific details (date, custom icing, special instructions). The baker reviews your request and approves a final, confirmed price before you ever have to pay.
The base price is the starting cost for the cake exactly as pictured. If you request complex customizationsβ€”like changing the flavor, adding extra tiers, or requesting elaborate sugar flowersβ€”the baker may adjust the final price during the quote review process.
When filling out your Quote Request, there is a dedicated "Customizations & Instructions" box. Please explicitly state any allergies (e.g., nuts, gluten, dairy) so the baker can confirm if they are able to safely accommodate your request.

Payments & Security

When you pay for an approved quote, CakeRuns securely holds your funds in escrow. This gives the baker the confidence to buy ingredients and start baking, but ensures they are not paid until your cake is successfully delivered and verified.
Because cakes are perishable and custom-made, cancellations depend on how close it is to your event date. If the baker has not yet started preparing your order, you can request a cancellation. Please review our full cancellation policy or contact support for assistance.

Secured Delivery

When your cake arrives (either via delivery or public meetup), you will receive the package. Once you are satisfied that the order is complete, you simply log into your CakeRuns dashboard and confirm the delivery. This finalizes the order and releases the funds from escrow.
We strongly advise inspecting the cake box upon arrival. If there is significant damage caused prior to handover, do not confirm the delivery on your dashboard. Take clear photos immediately and contact our Customer Support team so we can mediate the issue and secure a refund or replacement.
