While we enforce strict vetting procedures and hold funds securely in escrow, the actual contract for sale is directly between the Customer and the Vendor. CakeRuns assumes no liability for the quality, safety, or legality of the items listed, nor for the ability of Vendors to deliver items or the ability of Customers to pay for items.
3. Allergens & Health Warnings
WARNING: Products ordered through CakeRuns may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including but not limited to wheat, peanuts, soy, tree nuts, milk, eggs, and gluten.
While customers may request allergen-free cakes (e.g., gluten-free, nut-free), we cannot guarantee that any product is entirely free of allergens due to the risk of cross-contamination in the Vendors' kitchens. It is the Customer's sole responsibility to communicate any severe allergies directly to the Vendor. CakeRuns accepts no liability for allergic reactions, illness, or health issues resulting from the consumption of products purchased through our platform.
4. Product Variations
Baking is an art, and all cakes are custom, handmade creations. Therefore, the final product delivered may vary slightly from the photographs displayed on a Vendor's portfolio or inspirational reference images provided by the Customer. Variations in color, shape, icing technique, and decorative elements are normal and do not constitute a defective product.
